3D Printing Design Program
Within our 3D printing program, our advanced students
engage with Autodesk Fusion 360 software, a leading industry tool utilized daily by real-
world engineers for design. Concurrently, our other students utilize TinkerCAD software,
a popular platform for crafting 3D models. TinkerCAD not only serves as a gateway for
creating models for 3D printing but also provides an introductory exploration of
constructive solid geometry in educational settings.
The educational importance of 3D printing design lies in its ability to cultivate practical
skills and promote creativity. By using sophisticated software like Autodesk Fusion 360,
students not only gain exposure to professional tools but also enhance their problem-
solving abilities and understanding of engineering principles. TinkerCAD, as an
accessible entry point, fosters an early interest in constructive solid geometry, laying the
foundation for more advanced design concepts. This comprehensive approach aligns
with educational goals, offering students a hands-on experience that combines
technology, creativity, and real-world applications.
